Currently-Touring internationally with Eden Brent, The Andy Irvine Group, Presenting Warwick/EMG bass clinics internationally, "The Sound of Bass" Clinic Tour 2013, performing throughout Colorado with various acts including: Bad Bobby Walker, The Jelly Roll Bakers, and his own funk/rock/jam project- Mind Flip. Confirmed to be a featured artist and give master classes at the London Bass Guitar Show March 2-3 2013 along with such greats as Nate Watts, Jonas Hellborg, Guy Prat, Lee Rocker, Peter Hook, Dave Ellefson, and Wojtek Pilichowski.
ABOUT ANDY IRVINE: Andy Irvine, endorser of Warwick basses, is an internationally known bassist, recognized by his driving bass grooves, huge tone, ferocious soloing and song writing skills. Currently residing in the mountains of Colorado, his vast experience in performing, touring, and studio work has gained him respect among the industry, his bass peers, and most recently caught the attention of globally-known bass guitar manufacturer Warwick Basses. His style of performing can best be described as holding down thick fundamental support lines, ripping aggressive bass solos, and all points in between. Irvine’s influences range from funk, soul, blues, jazz, gospel and various rock styles of music. With a playful musical personality and dynamic presence on the stage, Irvine radiates with passion and love for his craft everywhere he goes.
"Over the years I have developed a bass guitar style that's all my own. It's always funky, fundamentally rooted in blues with an aggressive rock delivery and attitude,” comments Andy.
Irvine has toured with over 25 artists nationally and has delivered solid bass work contributions to over 50 successful albums, covering a wide range of styles. His most recent national tours includes Mississippi based piano virtuoso Eden Brent, Eddie Turner, On The One and Giant People. He has also led various groups himself including The Andy Irvine Group (blues/funk), Beanstalk (futuristic groove trio), and Project Mind Flip (all-star international electro/funk group). He has recorded on various albums such as Grammy nominated and legend Tiny Tim, shock-rock icon GG Allin, Porcupine Tree guitarist John Wesley, ”Queen of drum & bass” DJ Rap, and blues great John Alex Mason, to name a few. In Nov/Dec 2013, he will tour throughout Europe with his own band, The Andy Irvine Group.
In 2012 Andy was asked personally by FUNK icon Bootsy Collins to become a "professor" at his Funk University www.thefunkuniversity.com. Several of Andy's lessons and lectures are now part the Funk-U program, more educational segments are regularly being filmed in LA for ongoing use at Funk U.
Andy Irvine has released two independent solo albums, with his newest release titled Diggin' That funky Blues (2012) and Soul Clap (2009). Diggin' That Funky Blues features 10 songs with a fun blend of soul, funk and blues. He composed, arranged, and produced the album himself. In addition, Andy played many of the instruments and sang 4 of the songs, as well as featured vocalists Johnny O and Lionel Young on three of his tracks. Soul Clap, released in 2009, is completely comprised of his original compositions featuring his unique and diverse styles in bass, and electric guitar. He also produced Soul Clap himself.
Recently featured on the cover of the March 2013 issue of Bass Guitar Magazine and also in Bass Player Magazine referring to him as "soloist sensation,” Irvine has received international recognition by educating and inspiring musicians of all levels. Since launching his clinic series in 2009, Andy has conducted over 100 bass clinics internationally, and has appeared at the 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 Bass Player LIVE events held in Los Angeles. His performing, recording, touring and educating efforts have gained him multiple endorsements from a variety of companies including Warwick Basses & Amps, EMG, Levy's, Black Diamond, Babicz, Essential Sound Products, and Source Audio. He is currently working with Warwick Basses and EMG exclusively to host Warwick's "The Sound Of Bass" World Clinic Tour 2013. Andy toured through 6 countries in 2012 and is poised to widen his global educational reach even farther throughout 2013.

He will be an instructor at the week long camp along with an esteemed cast the worlds top bassists including: Victor Wooten, John Patitucci, Stuart Hamm, Alphonso Johnson, Lee Sklar, Steve Bailey, Jonas Hellborg, John B. Williams and more.
